Magician Shin Lim, who reportedly grew up in Singapore, became the latest winner of NBC television show America's Got Talent on Wednesday (Sept 19). The 26-year-old Canadian-American won US$1 million (S$1.37 million) and a three-night residency in Las Vegas. His Singapore-born parents had moved to Canada for his father to complete his postgraduate studies.
